Because Only Together We Can

Build a World Where BLACK FAMILIES ARE Safe, Strong & Valued

What We Do

— FOOD DRIVE

This a drop-off food bank to participants doorstep. It is the first African-Caribbean based food bank to assist clients in low-income situation. The initiative is to bridge the gap between stigmatized mentality that is associated with black people of being seen asking for assistance and receiving food items that meets their need. The feedback from participants had been a success.

— WE Strenghten Families

We strengthen black families in our community by providing them and supplying them with their basic needs..

— We Support the needy

We provide free groceries delivery to the black families, newcomers and refugees.

Good Day, I would like to write feedback as regards the assistance I have been

receiving from Victoria hand of mercy. I am a new immigrant in Canada, I am a

single mother of three kids and this help that I get from this organization has been

of good relevance to my family.

I get fresh food produce, bread, food, doughnuts and fresh fruit which is what my

children need for good growth from the organization, and the supply is very

constant, before we finish a supply, we have another. Also, as a new immigrant, I

get some supports from this organization on what to do in Canada, advice and

zoom meetings on integrating in the Canadian society. This meeting serves as a

good avenue to network and hear from other sisters, so grateful for this support

which has helped me in giving my kids good healthy meals.

I also commend the program director for her patience, care and concern for the

African community.

Both VHMH and Sweet Black Sisters programs have been a great deal of help to

my family. They even deliver to your doorstep which is a lot of help to me since I

don’t drive. Thank you so much.

VHMH Food Drive have been so helpful to me and my family especially during this

pandemic. She will always drop food for us. The agency came for me at the time of

my needs when I lost my Job. Thank you so much for helping the community and

my family. God bless you always.
